Electricity, magnetism, gravity, love are the unseen and are all encompassed in qi. We can’t see these, we can only see their effects in the physical world. The Tao Te Ching states: That which has no substance enters where there is no space. And Hebrews 11:1 states: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Being unseen does not stop humans from studying and to some degree controlling these forces so the argument that we can’t see qi doesn’t hold water. The tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao just as the love that humans talk about is not the eternal Love.
We only believe in it if we choose to and then we start the story for why, with some stories including statements like “because I can see it or touch it” and other stories including statements like “I just know.” Justification and evidence collected from two different worlds, with one looking out and the other looking in. When we submit our questions to the journals of life, for examination by others, only those stories with evidence from the outside can be validated by a jury of our peers. But it is only questions that can be validated by evidence from the inside that make us happy.
To balance and bring harmony to the flow of qi in our bodies and then in the world around us, we must first choose and then validate that we believe it is there. The strength necessary to make this choice is much greater than that necessary to accept the verdict from the jury of our peers. In our indoctrination into the realm of human form we learned that with science we must see it to believe but with God we must believe to see. Once we make the choice to believe and then set about to validate our choice, the world we live in changes, as if our choice has somehow affected reality, deciding before we open Schrödinger's box, what is inside.
The Moody Blues Late Lament:
**********************************
Breathe deep the gathering gloom,
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament,
Another day's useless energy spent.
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one.
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son.
Senior citizens wish they were young.
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white,
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion.
**********************************
Breath deep and control the qi
When the eyes arrive the mind arrives
When the mind arrives the qi arrives
When the qi arrives the blood arrives
When the blood arrives finally the jing arrives
When the jing arrives we live the illusion
